Exciting News!

Envelopments Original Artwork (c) 2008 Envelopments, Inc. All rights reserved.

I just signed on to be an authorized Dealer/Designer for Envelopments! I have been wanting to expand my base of clients, and I thought this would be a great way to start.
This line features a variety of enclosures, cards, and papers to coordinate with the style of your wedding, and is less expensive that a completely custom product. I will still be offering assembly services for those who don't have the time, but for brides who enjoy the DIY thing and want to save a little green, kits will be available as well.
Letterpress and Offset printing options are available, and I will also offer design-only packages if the client wishes to take on the printing.
And yes, I will still be offering completely custom invitations as I always have.
Stay tuned, more fun news to come!

Stephanie + Jordan

Just got done with some super cute Save the Dates for an equally cute couple. Stephanie is working with a rich jewel tone palate, including the pinks and purples you see here. Pattern is also high on her list of priorities, which you'll see in the envelope liner and the address label.
In addition to the Save the Date, she included hotel information and a Rehearsal Dinner/Farewell Brunch invitation for her guests.
Multi-tasking, I like it.
Side note: when she's not hard at work planning her spectacular wedding with her talented planner, you'll find Stephanie running the COOLEST nail salon in town, Sundrops Nail Spot
Stop in for a mani/pedi and make sure to gush about her fabulous Save the Dates...

A Gentle Reminder

Tomorrow is the last day for the Dress Drive at Bright Event Gallery

Elbows off the table and a map in your lap

Oh for heavens sake, would you look at this? Microfiber maps that double as napkins! Available for more than 20 US cities, (hopefully international versions soon?) these would be wicked cool for a travel themed party.
Available here for $5.95.

Guest Blog

I was recently asked to do a guest blog for Liene at Blue Orchid Designs! She left the topic pretty open ended, so I decided to write a little about the planning that went into my own wedding. You can read it right here. Thanks for the opportunity, Liene!

New Logo for Carolyn Wells

I had the pleasure of working with Carolyn Wells just a few weeks prior to the birth of her beautiful baby girl, Maya. What struck me about Carolyn was that she was not only a truly talented photographer, she was also very patient, flexible and thoughtful. (These are not qualities I assume I will possess weeks before the birth of my child. PS - no mom, I am NOT pregnant!)
Carolyn came in with some specific ideas about the look and feel of her new logo, which is always helpful to a designer. The thing that seemed most important to her was that her logo be flexible, so that became my main focus. She wanted something that she could play around with and utilize in different applications. In keeping with her organic/free-spirited/earth mama vibe, we went for a sage green and deep brown with a pop of orange.
Carolyn recently emailed me her new ad that features her new logo, pictured below. Notice that it not only works as a branding tool, but also a cool frame to show off her beautiful work. Thanks, Carolyn!

That's what she said!

I stumbled upon Ellen Lohse's Etsy store awhile back and fell in love with her magical "Ode to" prints that feature some of my very favorite things: The Office, Wes Anderson movies, "To Kill a Mockingbird" and Hitchcock.
Pam and Jim are $21.00 each and are available right here.

Retail Prozac

Yesterday was catalog day (although my husband will tell you EVERYDAY is catalog day in our house). But this was COOL catalog day. Nary a dull one in sight. I was especially enamored with CB2's new offerings -- let's just say the catalog is now a dog-eared mess. And here's why:

Carton Vase, $6.95. I want a row of them on my windowsill. If you're throwing a party, how cool would these look with place cards tied around them? And these I love:
Cheers Wine Glasses, $19.95 for six. These little honeys will now be my go-to gift for engagements, showers, etc. Fortunately for me, I don't know anyone who has become engaged or who is throwing a shower at the moment. So to me this gift shall go.
